MMHAP Artwork HUNT Honors the relationship between the Eagle and the Salmon. The BC Forces of Nature naturally carved mediums are the focus of this artwork. Driftwood from the Stanley Park shores resembling an Eagle Wing mounted to the Granite body and the second driftwood Eagle sets out to hunt for BC Salmon. The Eagle, which is made of a collaboration of Driftwood and Granite, has caught a BC Salmon with its Shell Claw and the BC Salmon is now exposed out of the water. Water drips from the BC Salmon into the water reservoir. The other Driftwood Eagle is searching for the second Granite BC Salmon swimming at the base of the water reservoir below the caught BC Salmon. The Eight Earth Cardinal Points are honored in HUNT by eight concrete tea-lit candleholders. Each concrete tea-lit candleholder honors as well the eight Earth cardinal points reflected with eight braided Metis Sash ends. There are hundreds of braided Metis Sash ends on HUNT in celebration of Mark MiLan’s Canadian Metis culture and community.
