MMHAP Artwork ARTIST Honors Creativity. The BC Forces of Nature naturally carved mediums are the focus of this artwork. Driftwood from the Stanley Park shores resembling a human body with magical unique characters emerging from the upper portion leans against BC Granite with one leg magically penetrating through the BC Granite. On the other side of that granite is another unique driftwood carved by the Forces of Nature, which resembles a foot. A concrete column supports this ARTIST stage, which at every four inches is uniquely different to illustrate the uniqueness and diversity of the Metis Community. The Eight Earth Cardinal Points are honored in ARTIST by eight concrete tea-lit candleholders. The Metis Community Pillar is honored with eight tea-lit candles at the base, for sixteen tea-lit candles on this artwork. Each concrete tea-lit candleholder honors as well the eight Earth cardinal points reflected with eight braided Metis Sash ends. Braided Metis Sash ends on ARTIST are in celebration of Mark MiLan’s Canadian Metis culture and community. Dimensions (H” x W” x D”): 74” X 29” X 29”
