MMHAP Artwork RUN Honors the BC Salmon Run. The BC Forces of Nature naturally carved mediums are the focus of this artwork. Driftwood from the Stanley Park shores resembling a Sockeye Salmon is set on tempered glass to capture its reputed journey up-stream for spawning. Water rapidly flows down the glass past the Salmon into the water reservoir. The Eight Earth Cardinal Points are honored in RUN by eight concrete tea-lit candleholders. Each concrete tea-lit candleholder honors as well the eight Earth cardinal points reflected with eight braided Metis Sash ends. Braided Metis Sash ends reflect in celebration of Mark MiLan’s Canadian Metis culture and community.
