MMHAP Artwork GENERAL Honors Intelligent Life. The BC Forces of Nature naturally carved mediums are the focus of this artwork. Driftwood from the Stanley Park shores resembling a human body with an extraterrestrial head emerges from a very unique driftwood railroad-tie that has been formed-out by termites and drifted for an indefinite time in the Pacific Ocean. The Eight Earth Cardinal Points are honored in General by eight concrete tea-lit candleholders. Each concrete tea-lit candleholder honors as well the eight Earth cardinal points reflected with eight braided Metis Sash ends. There are hundreds of braided Metis Sash ends on GENERAL in celebration of Mark MiLan’s Canadian Metis culture and community.
